What is RSS?
RSS is a simple way to automatically get information from web pages you like. Instead
of always visiting sites in order to check if there is any news or new articles,
you can simply use RSS (Really Simple Syndication). This way you will be instantly
informed about all the latest events or changes on the websites you are interested
in. For example, by subscribing to our RSS feed you will be informed about all the
stop sales and special offers as soon as we publish them on our website. RSS works
by having the website author maintain a list of notifications on their website in
a standard way. This list of notifications is called an "RSS Feed". Google has an
excellent RSS reader named Google Reader, Feedly is another great RSS reader which
has nice integration with Google Reader and Twitter and lets you read RSS feeds
in a newspaper format, ordered according to your unique interest.
How to use RSS?
You need to install a program for reading (RSS Reader). This program shows information,
through RSS, that are downloaded to your computer from the websites you choose.
After installing the program you need to choose which RSS channel you want to follow.
Another way is to choose one of many web-based RSS services, such as MyYahoo, Google
reader or Bloglines. In order to follow our content through Google reader, simply
click the Subscibe to RSS feeds link in the footer of our website. This will take
you to the feeds page, and in the top right corner, there are links to all major
web based RSS Readers. Click Google sticker and subscribe to our feed with your
Google account.
or
To add an RSS feed to Google Reader, you will visit the Google Reader site and click
“Add a subscription.” This allows you to paste one of the links given below in the
RSS location. After adding a few RSS sources, you will see how this can save you
time. Instead of loading 10 pages and reading them (and getting past the ads) you
can simply click down the row and see the latest news. You can also filter out any
sites which have not had any changes, group sites into folders, and more.
